The last decade has seen an expansion of image-guided therapies into every organ system and disease state. As these therapies continue to expand, interventional MR will be vital to not only enable current multimodality image-guided therapies but also provide an entirely new platform for novel therapies. Therefore, the ongoing process in the field of interventional MRI and the success of the last two symposia in Boston (2004) and Leipzig (2006), have motivated us to jointly organize the Seventh Interventional Symposium.
